What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device. They let the site remember your login or settings between steps.
Local storage works in a similar way, but the data stays in your browser until you delete it. This site uses it to remember your age confirmation and your cookie notice choice.
What this site uses
We only use the technologies needed to run the site and remember your choices:

We do not use advertising, marketing or analytics cookies and we do not load third-party tracking scripts.
Essential and preference storage
The ndssid session cookie is essential. It keeps your session, protects forms against CSRF attacks and makes sure you see your own account after logging in.
The nds_lang cookie remembers the language you chose. Without it, your next visit would fall back to the approximate country from your IP address, then your browser language and finally Slovak. You can change your language at any time with the switcher in the header.
On your first visit without a chosen language, we derive an approximate country from your IP address using a local database on our server. The IP address is not sent to a third party and the country is not stored. If the country cannot be determined, we use your browser language and then Slovak.
How to manage your choice
You can accept or decline in the cookie notice. That choice is stored only in your browser and does not disable the essential session cookie, which is required for logging in.
You can delete cookies and local data at any time in your browser settings. If you delete nds-age, the site will ask you to confirm your age again on your next visit. If you block the session cookie, login, messages and credit purchases will not work.
How long we keep them
The session cookie disappears when you close your browser or log out. We keep the language cookie for no longer than 12 months. Local storage data remains until you delete site data in your browser.
If we add analytics or marketing tools in the future, we will only start them with your consent and we will update this document first.

We may update this document if the technologies or legal requirements change. We will publish the new version on this page with a new update date.
